Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an Estate Manager and an Estate Steward?
While an Estate Manager typically handles staffing and hospitality, an Estate Steward focuses on the long-term preservation and operational health of the physical property. Stewardship is a proactive, audit-based approach designed to protect the home’s value and prevent the deferred maintenance issues common in large luxury estates.
Do I need an Estate Steward if I already have a housekeeper or landscaper?
Yes. Household staff are excellent at maintenance, but they are focused on their specific tasks rather than the holistic health of the property. A Steward acts as the Owner’s Representative, overseeing those vendors to ensure the work is performed to high standards and identifying hidden issues before they become expensive repairs.
What is included in The Residential 50 Audit™?
The Residential 50 Audit™ is a proprietary 50-point inspection covering five core pillars of estate health: Exterior Structures, Mechanical & HVAC Systems, Safety & Security, Luxury Interior Finishes, and Smart Home Infrastructure. It provides owners with a comprehensive health score and a prioritized roadmap for maintenance. View the Residential 50 Audit™ framework
How often are the property inspections conducted?
Standard service plans include weekly inspections of the home and property to ensure continuous oversight. While the frequency can be adjusted based on the homeowner's preference, our base plans provide weekly on-site presence followed by a comprehensive Monthly Home Health Report to keep the owner fully informed.
What are bespoke services?
Bespoke services are concierge-level solutions tailored to the unique needs of the homeowner. We provide these services to give the owner peace of mind and return the time they would otherwise spend managing vendors, errands, or property logistics themselves.
Does an Estate Steward handle high-value collections, such as wine or art?
We focus on the environments that protect those collections. This includes auditing cellar climate control systems, humidity sensors, and UV protection. We ensure the infrastructure surrounding your investments is flawless so that the collections themselves remain preserved.
